A Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company's customer base, specifically within the federal government contracting space. They are responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, leading the capture team, and developing strategies to win new contracts with federal government agencies.
This CGO will have a track record of successfully capturing federal contracts and will have experience with various federal agencies such as the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and Veterans Affairs. They will be well-versed in federal regulations and laws and have a strong network of industry and government contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the federal government contracting space.
- Leading the capture team and developing strategies to win new contracts with federal agencies.
- Developing a deep understanding of the federal procurement process and using this knowledge to identify potential opportunities.
- Leading the capture process from start to finish, including understanding the customer's needs and developing a proposal or solution that addresses those needs.
- Working with the proposal team to create a winning bid and managing the proposal process.
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and prime contractors.
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of federal regulations and laws, and staying up-to-date with changes and updates to the procurement process.
- Building and maintaining a strong network of industry and government contacts.
- Analyzing market trends and identifying potential areas for growth.
- Developing and implementing strategies for revenue growth and expanding the company's customer base.
It is expected that this CGO will have a track record of successfully capturing federal contracts, have experience with various federal agencies, and have experience with the federal procurement process and regulations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, and strategy, with a focus on federal government contracting.
- Proven experience in federal capture management and a track record of successfully capturing federal contracts.
- In-depth understanding of the federal procurement process and knowledge of federal regulations and laws.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading capture teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify potential areas for growth and develop strategies to achieve revenue goals.
- Experience with various federal agencies such as Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and Veterans Affairs.
