Job Title: Construction Materials Testing Department Manager

Job Description: We are currently seeking a Construction Materials Testing Department Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our CMT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians and engineers, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the CMT department, including technicians and engineers
- Plan and schedule CMT projects to ensure timely completion and delivery to clients
- Conduct quality control checks on all CMT test results and reports
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company policies
- Communicate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
- Develop and implement training programs for technicians and engineers
- Monitor departmental budgets and expenses to ensure profitability
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
- Participate in business development activities to expand the company's CMT services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- 10+ years of experience in construction materials testing, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role
- Extensive knowledge of ASTM, ACI, and other applicable testing standards
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with business development and client management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
