Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Audio Visual Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of audiovisual projects in commercial settings. You will collaborate with clients, manage project timelines and budgets, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the seamless integration of audiovisual systems.
- Manage and oversee commercial audiovisual projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, propose audiovisual solutions, and develop comprehensive project plans.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings, establish project milestones, and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify and address potential risks or issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit accurate project documentation, including project schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their audiovisual needs, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather project requirements, identify technical constraints, and propose suitable audiovisual solutions.
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Conduct system demonstrations and train clients on the operation and maintenance of installed audiovisual systems.
Team Coordination and Leadership:
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, including audiovisual technicians, engineers, programmers, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of team members' skills and resources.
- Provide clear direction and support to the project team, fostering a collaborative work environment and ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project objectives, assign tasks, and address any challenges or issues that may arise.
Installation and Integration:
- Oversee the installation and integration of audiovisual systems in commercial settings, including audio equipment, video displays, control systems, digital signage, and video conferencing systems.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to review system designs, ensure technical feasibility, and propose modifications as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all aspects of system installation and integration.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of installed systems, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, including equipment costs, labor expenses, and subcontractor fees.
- Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring timely availability of necessary equipment, materials, and resources.
- Track project expenses, monitor budget utilization, and implement cost-saving measures when appropriate.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial audiovisual project management.
- Strong technical knowledge of audiovisual systems, including audio equipment, video displays, control systems, digital signage, and video conferencing systems.
- Proven experience in managing and overseeing complex audiovisual projects in commercial settings.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, monitor progress, and manage project risks.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide a project team towards successful project completion.
