LVI are currently seeking a construction expert who has a background in claims and dispute services, cost engineering, delay/disruption, litigation support and expert witness testimony for a Senior Managing Director role with a Boutique Construction Consulting Group.
In this role, the successful candidate will have the chance to expand and grow our client's practice while leading high-profile projects - including, but not limited to; construction law and litigation support, construction disputes and claims, CPM schedules relating to delay & disruption, loss of productivity, cost/damage analysis, and Expert Witness Testimony.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of construction projects, contracts, and related documentation.
Provide expert opinions and testimony on construction-related disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
Collaborate with legal teams, clients, and internal staff to gather and present relevant information for legal proceedings.
Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings and conclusions.
Work closely with attorneys to develop case strategies and participate in pre-trial preparations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 20 years of experience in the construction industry.
Professional license or certification in a relevant field (e.g. PE, PSP).
Proven experience as an expert witness in construction-related legal proceedings.
Thorough understanding of construction contracts, codes, and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Advanced degrees or additional certifications are a plus.
