We are currently seeking a skilled construction estimator with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and specifications to determine project scope and requirements
- Conduct material takeoffs and prepare estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates
- Identify potential risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
- Prepare and present detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages to clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of estimates, bids, and project documents
- Review and analyze construction progress and costs to ensure that estimates remain accurate throughout the project life-cycle
- Participate in the negotiation and award of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
