This organization is dedicated to developing, constructing, and operating renewable natural gas ("RNG") production facilities throughout the USA. Description of the Role: This company is seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee the RNG Project Activities. Typically engaged around the final investment decision milestone, the Project Manager will focus on projects within the same region, where possible, across our RNG project sites. Reporting to the Director of Projects, the Project Manager will collaborate closely with our Integrated Engineering, Construction & Operations (EC&O) team. Additionally, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing Project Management processes, conducting data analysis, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and identifying technology opportunities.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience as an assistant project manager ($100M+) or project manager ($20M+) in the commercial construction industry for an EPC or owner organization.
- Deep understanding of construction means, methods, and techniques for Civil, Structural, Piping, and Electrical disciplines.
- Familiarity with Project Management principles, methods, and techniques, including safety, cost, schedule, and contract management.
- Competency in project work breakdown structures, budget management, and invoicing approval processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from $10M to $50M in value.
- Experience scheduling and leading various Project meetings and reviews.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate harmonious cross-functional collaboration between engineering and operations.
- Capability to interpret construction drawings and specifications effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Expertise in Project Schedule preparation, management, and critical path identification, with proficiency in Microsoft Project.
- Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors and vendors.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and preparation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Education:
- B.S. in Engineering and/or Construction Management, or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of applicable work experience in leadership roles.
- Military experience as an E-6 or above will be considered as applicable work experience for the education requirement.
- PMP or other project management certifications are beneficial but not required.
Locations:
- Preferred locations are Western/Northern New York.
- Remote opportunities with heavy travel can be considered.
