Our client is currently seeking highly skilled and motivated Investment Managers to join their expanding team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in growing our development pipeline and contributing to the success of our offshore wind development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead M&A opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
- Conduct financial due diligence and valuation analyses for potential acquisitions.
- Participate in negotiations and drive M&A transactions to closing.
- Evaluate new offshore wind development opportunities.
- Work on bidding for offshore wind auctions in various regions to secure new projects.
- Assess financial feasibility, conduct due diligence, and prepare investment proposals.
- Drive projects toward the construction phase by managing the financial aspects of the project through the development phase.
- Lead financial planning and analysis for offshore wind development projects.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies during project development and for project financing.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure seamless progress from development to construction.
- Drive the process to secure project finance for offshore wind projects.
- Develop and manage relationships with financing parties, including banks, export credit agencies, and other financing entities.
- Manage sponsor and lender advisers, including financial, legal, technical, and other due diligence advisors throughout the due diligence process.
- Coordinate activities and ensure effective communication between the project team, advisors, and financing parties.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess project viability, returns, and potential risks.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Chartered Accountant, CPA, or CFA designation preferred.
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools.
- Excellent understanding of finance, accounting principles, and risk management.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, good work ethic, and a team player.
- Experience in project financing within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on offshore wind projects is a plus.
- Ability to speak English and/or Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or other languages is a plus.
