Senior Service Technician - High Purity Water Systems
A growing and established high purity water system company is seeking an experienced, Senior Service Technician to support their high purity water service business in Greater New York City. They employ the largest team of high purity water technicians in the Northeast, yet as a regionally-focused and independent company, are agile enough to provide the personal attention their customers have come to expect.
The company specializes in full system integration that incorporates treatment technologies like reverse osmosis, deionization, filtration, disinfection and water quality instrumentation. They focus on incorporating the right products and services for the various high purity water requirements of the Biotech and Pharma, Hospital and Life Science, and Research and Academic markets. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Perform system service on ultrapure water systems at customer facilities throughout the Greater NYC area
* Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of reverse osmosis and deionization water systems
* Calibration of meters, probes, and various water quality instrumentation
* Perform sanitizations of ultrapure water systems
* Water testing in laboratory settings
* Exchanging DI and media (carbon, softeners, multi-media, etc.) tanks
* Will be placed into 24/7 on call rotation
Additional Requirements:
* Valid driver's license with record in good standing is required for this position - Must be able to pass a DOT physical and pass a drug / alcohol test
* The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background with basic plumbing and electrical skills
* Ability to prepare accurate and complete paperwork
* Must be able to communicate and interact well with customers as well as co-workers and manager(s)
* Physical requirements include ability to bend, squat, and walk with heavy equipment
* Some nights, weekends and holidays are required as needed
* Some travel within the Northeastern US is required as needed
