Geotechnical Senior Project Manager
Our company, a leading provider of geotechnical engineering services, is seeking a Geotechnical Senior Project Manager to join our team in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing geotechnical projects and a strong background in soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, slope stability analysis, and other geotechnical disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction
- Develop project proposals and budgets, and communicate project status to clients and stakeholders
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, site assessments, and soil and rock testing
- Perform geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, foundation design, and soil liquefaction analysis
- Prepare geotechnical reports and technical memos that clearly communicate findings and recommendations
- Mentor and supervise junior staff
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Texas
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with at least 5 years of project management experience
- Strong technical background in soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, slope stability analysis, and other geotechnical disciplines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to clients and stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
