Position: Heavy Civil Construction Project Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Responsibilities: As a Heavy Civil Construction Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of their projects by:
- Assisting project managers in coordinating and overseeing all aspects of construction projects.
- Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met according to schedule and budget.
- Conducting field inspections and quality control checks to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Assisting in the preparation and review of project plans, drawings, and technical documents.
- Managing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Providing technical expertise and support to project teams and resolving engineering-related issues as they arise.
Experience Needed: The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction projects, preferably with a general contractor.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or similar.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Qualifications Needed:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering software is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
