Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highway Project Manager to lead their infrastructure projects in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in highway engineering and project management, demonstrating the ability to oversee all aspects of project delivery from concept to completion. This role requires excellent technical, organizational, and leadership skills to ensure the successful execution of projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Design: Lead the planning, design, and execution of highway engineering projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical oversight and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring the application of best practices and innovative solutions.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of project milestones.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure all project deliverables meet or exceed required standards and specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as environmental and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and technical performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in highway engineering and project management, with a proven track record of managing complex highway projects.
- Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of highway engineering principles, practices, and design standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
