Job Title: Principal Engineer or Geologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Client's dynamic team as a Principal Engineer or Geologist in Irvine, California. The successful candidate must possess California licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to business development initiatives and oversee the execution of projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Take a leadership role in managing projects from cradle to grave, ensuring successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
Business Development: Play a key role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to develop and execute strategies for business growth.
Technical Expertise: Utilize your extensive technical expertise in engineering or geology to provide innovative solutions to complex challenges. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to contribute valuable insights to projects.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations and standards. Navigate permitting processes and maintain a thorough understanding of local and state requirements.
Qualifications:
California Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) licensure in the state of California.
Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in engineering or geology, with a proven track record of successful project management.
Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to contribute to business development initiatives, including client relationship management and proposal writing.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
