The Foundation Package Manager is accountable for the planning and delivery of the Foundation Package until handover to Operations, including the management of HSE, scope, quality, budget, resource, and time scheduling for the package in line with the project goals and governance.

Your key tasks and responsibilities:
Implementing the concept design of new and novel offshore wind turbine foundation structures for offshore wind turbines, during the origination and development phases of a project;
Delivery of the detailed design, a safe and high quality fabrication, and delivery / installation of foundation structures once a project enters the construction phase;
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, as well as, external design houses and fabricators to produce cost effective and value-added foundation designs for our development projects;
Interface with geotechnical and geophysical experts to optimise foundation design according to local soil conditions;
Complete Request for Quotations together with Procurement and create a high-quality but cost effective supply chain concept;
Making sure that work is delivered on time and identifying and mitigating any potential delays;
Maintenance of the high safety standards within the company through intelligent design and risk management;
Ensuring that contractors work safely and work to good industry practice and in accordance with legislation and requirements;
Management of budget, ensuring delivery to contract requirements and supporting with any variation orders and claims;
Direction, evaluation, and management of all risks associated with the foundation package within a wider offshore wind farm project;
Ensure that all lessons learned from our operating fleet are incorporated into future projects and support to Procurement, Quality, and HSSE departments.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Engineering degree from an accredited university in a relevant subject (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Ocean, Naval, etc);
10 plus years relevant industry experience;
Professional Engineer / Project Manager, with experience creating design and or engineering teams;
Experience in Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind, Offshore Oil and Gas, or other large engineering infrastructure;
Experience in steel fabrication and offshore engineering / installation;
Proven experience in developing contract & claim negotiations, project execution through to completion and contract management of large infrastructure investment projects (ideally offshore wind);
Excellent strategic thinker, communicator, organiser, package lead and team player;
Demonstrable experience of working effectively in an international business;
To be based in Tokyo (Willing to travel internationally as required); and
Fluent in spoken and written English (Working knowledge of Japanese is desirable).
