Job Title: K-12 Safety Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced K-12 Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies to ensure a safe work environment across all our construction sites in Dallas and the surrounding areas. The Construction Safety Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide safety training and orientations for employees, subcontractors, and visitors to promote awareness and safe work practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Maintain safety records, documentation, and reports, and ensure timely submission of required regulatory reports.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and address safety concerns, develop job hazard analyses, and implement risk mitigation measures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to construction safety, and integrate new knowledge into safety programs.
- Conduct emergency response drills and develop emergency action plans to ensure preparedness for potential safety incidents.
- Monitor subcontractors' safety performance and compliance with safety requirements, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or similar certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various construction sites as needed.
