They are currently seeking a Principal Ecologist or Zoologist based in Perth, Australia. They strongly value the talent their employees bring and are dedicated in supporting their innovative ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ecological assessments, surveys, and impact assessments.
- Provide expert advice on ecological matters to clients and internal teams.
- Undertake fieldwork, data collection, and analysis to support ecological studies.
- Develop and implement biodiversity conservation plans and strategies.
- Manage and mentor junior ecologists within the team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate ecological considerations into projects.
- Stay updated on relevant environmental regulations and industry best practices.
- Prepare high-quality reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in ecological consulting, with a proven track record of project management.
- Strong knowledge of local flora and fauna, ecosystems, and relevant legislation.
- Experience in conducting ecological impact assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of ecologists.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant software for data analysis and mapping.
