Our client is an established civil engineering firm who are seeking to hire a skilled and experienced professional land surveyor who can join their team in Columbus, Cleveland or Akron.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Field Surveys: Execute field surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners
- Boundary Determination: Analyze legal documents, deeds, and maps to establish and verify property boundaries
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze spatial data to produce accurate survey maps, plats, and reports
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance in all surveying activities
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, including engineers, architects, and GIS specialists, to integrate survey data into broader project plans
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment to guarantee accurate measurements
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, field notes, and reports related to surveying activities
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements,
Qualifications:
- Licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience working with land surveys
- Ambition and drive to help grow and lead a team
