Our client is a reputable construction company in the marine and heavy civil sector, seeking to hire an experienced project director for their Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan location. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of marine, electrical systems as well as bridge and dam projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience managing large-scale heavy civil/marine construction projects.
- Proven track record of delivering complex multi-million dollar infrastructure projects on time & within budget

Leadership Skills:
The successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members towards achieving set goals.
Project Management Skills:
Excellent organizational abilities are crucial for this role; including planning schedules, monitoring progress against plan while adapting plans where necessary based on changing circumstances/requirements.
Commercial Acumen:
Experience working effectively across multiple disciplines e.g., engineering/construction/logistics/supply chain etc.; providing input into contract negotiations/tender responses would be beneficial
Communication Skills :
Strong written/oral communication skills required along with excellent interpersonal relationship management capabilities.
Salary Details :
This position offers an attractive salary between $160k-$200k commensurate upon experience levels plus benefits package
