The client is a global engineering consultancy firm specializing in waste management/treatment. The client is dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable waste treatment plants to address the growing environmental concerns in Singapore. We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Project Director, overseeing the design and construction of waste treatment plants in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage the overall project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Design and Engineering: Collaborate with a team of engineers and architects to develop innovative and sustainable waste treatment plant designs that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Construction Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, facilitating clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that waste treatment plants are constructed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, change orders, and other project-related documentation.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in waste treatment plant design and construction, and incorporate innovative approaches to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum 15+ years) in managing large-scale projects related to waste treatment plant design and construction.
- In-depth knowledge of waste treatment processes, technologies, and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound understanding of construction methodologies, contract management, and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with sustainability principles and green building practices.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in project management software and other relevant tools.
