Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership and Management:
- Lead, plan, and oversee multiple building projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and subcontractors, providing leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Management and Collaboration:
- Manage and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, architects, and engineers to integrate structural solutions seamlessly into building designs.
Technical Expertise and Quality Assurance:
- Provide technical oversight and review structural designs and calculations, ensuring compliance with local codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews of construction documents, drawings, and specifications to maintain design integrity and quality deliverables.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their project objectives and requirements while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Regularly communicate project progress, address concerns, and manage client expectations effectively.
Project Financials and Administration:
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation, ensuring financial performance targets are met.
- Prepare project proposals, contracts, and change orders in collaboration with the business development team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering focused on buildings, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in the Fort Worth / Dallas area.
- Proven track record in successfully managing and delivering complex building projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and familiarity with industry-standard design tools.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
