One of the leading DG, C&I and Community Solar Developers are working on a lot of projects in Northern California. As a result, they are in need of an additional Solar Senior Project Manager to oversee their upcoming projects. They will need someone who is already based in the area and or willing to relocate closer to the sites.
Senior Project Manager Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the design and construction of C&I and Community solar projects
- Responsible for running the entire field team during the execution phase of the project, which includes:
- Regular team meetings
- Design reviews
- Procurement
- Inspections
- Site Visits
- Work across various internal and external teams which will include field operations, sourcing, logistics, project finance, engineering, manufacturing, project controls, contract management to ensure a successful project
- Develop and manage every aspect of the project schedule, as it relates to permitting, material acquisition and delivery
- Create and analyze the project budget to ensure that you are minimizing any unneeded costs
- Keep track and manage multiple deadlines which can include internal deadlines, or those implemented by the client
- Figure out ways to maximize the cash flow by complying to the project invoice schedule and accurately document and submit all receivable, quantity as-builts, change orders and claims
- Develop project cost estimates and negotiate with sub contractors and vendors
- Define the scope of the contracts in addition to managing the bid process for subcontracted work
- Oversee and develop the formal scope of work to be implemented in the contracts
- Conduct the project using the company's QA/QC plan
- Regularly communicate with the client and any other stake holders
Senior Project Manager Preferred Experience:
- Previous exposure to solar projects, but more specifically C&I and Community solar projects
- Experience working as an owners rep to manage a project per the company's standards
- Experience with development, finance, as it relates to Solar project
- Prior history with managing on-site witness testing, commissioning, inspections and project turnover, including COD requirements
Senior Project Manager Qualifications:
- Strong communicator
- Ability to work remotely and a self-starter
- Travel
- 7-10 years of solar project management experience or in a related industry
- Familiarity with interacting with Federal, State and local government and agencies
