Current opportunity for a Project Manager in the Water Services sector of an internationally renowned Water and Environmental Engineering firm. This position will be based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Experience can be in; drinking water, water treatment, wastewater treatment, pump stations, conveyance, or water resources.
You will be managing the design of a variety of projects across the New Mexico region, working with local client and technical leaders to provide high quality work to clients. Alongside this, you will lead the office, mentor younger engineers, and take part in proposals.
It is required you have a P.E. license and previous experience managing water and wastewater projects (minimum 2 years).
Salary between $110,000 to $175,000 and YOE range is 8-20+ years.
Responsibilities:
*Manage and serve as the Project Manager on major area New Mexico water & wastewater projects.
*Provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentoring engineering staff to enhance our water services design capabilities.
*Be responsible for scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring and adherence for projects managed.
*Complete Quality Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables and assisting on projects managed by others in the office.
*Assist Client Service Leaders with technical marketing meeting clients in the New Mexico region.
*Participate in professional societies relevant to the industry.
*Build and maintain positive working relationships with key decision makers in our clients' organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
*Bachelor's Degree.
*7 years of related experience.
*Professional engineering (PE) license.
*PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
*Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
*Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering or related discipline.
*Previous experience working on and managing design projects for municipal wastewater, drinking water, conveyance and water resources clients.
*Previous experience managing multi-discipline project teams.
*Excellent communication, networking and team building skills.
*Previous experience working directly with clients.
*Master's degree.
*Previous experience working and managing projects for municipal clients.
*Previous business development experience including preparation of proposals and scopes of work and fee estimates for municipal clients.
