Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage transportation projects, ensuring they are delivered within the established scope, budget, and timeline. Coordinate with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate effective project execution.
Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality in all aspects of project development. Conduct regular inspections, testing, and verification to ensure compliance with engineering codes, standards, and specifications.
Construction Oversight: Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved plans, specifications, and safety regulations. Address any issues or concerns that may arise during construction to maintain project progress and mitigate risks.
Client Communication: Maintain strong communication channels with clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing queries, and managing expectations. Build and nurture positive client relationships to promote client satisfaction and repeat business.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project staff, including engineers, technicians, and inspectors. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, encouraging professional development and knowledge sharing.
Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the relevant state or region.
- Proven experience (7+ years) working on transportation infrastructure projects with a focus on roads, highways, bridges, or related projects.
- Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices.
- Familiarity with relevant industry software and tools (e.g., Auto-CAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating project teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation.
- Experience working as a Resident Engineer or in a similar supervisory role.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in transportation projects.
