Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Take charge of projects within your area of expertise, serving as the Engineer on Record (EOR) for assigned projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to determine equipment requirements, offer technical guidance, and ensure seamless project execution.
- Engineering Excellence: Conduct engineering studies and design analyses using industry-standard software, ensuring the highest level of quality in your work.
- Client Engagement: Participate in meetings with clients, architects, and stakeholders as needed to align project goals and expectations.
- Design Innovation: Play a key role in developing innovative design approaches and concepts to meet project objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Review the work of colleagues, providing valuable feedback and corrections to maintain the highest standards.
- Site Visits: Monitor construction progress with on-site visits, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and client expectations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with local authorities, utilities, and municipalities to incorporate construction and government standards into your designs.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage man-hour budgets for projects within your discipline, creating effective work plans.
- Project Planning: Offer input, feedback, and updates on project schedules, ensuring alignment with deadlines.
- Documentation Review: Review and approve shop drawings and submittals for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Quality Control: Assist in implementing proactive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans to deliver flawless projects.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements through ongoing self-education and training.
- Professional Engagement: Actively participate in the local chapter of a professional organization, enhancing our firm's reputation.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, designers, and EITs, contributing to their professional growth.
- Performance Evaluation: Provide valuable input during employee reviews to support team development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college.
- Eight years of applicable experience in discipline design and analysis.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Healthcare or Industrial engineering experience is preferred.
