We are looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Project Manager who will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing environmental projects with a primary focus on biology-related initiatives. As a key member of the team, you will work on projects that have a direct impact on the conservation and preservation of natural ecosystems in the Reno area. This employee-owned environmental consulting firm will provide opportunities for growth and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage environmental projects with a primary focus on biology, including but not limited to habitat restoration, wildlife conservation, and ecological assessments.
- Develop project proposals, budgets, and timelines, and ensure successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, field biologists, engineers, and regulatory experts to drive project success.
- Conduct field surveys, data collection, and analysis related to biological and ecological assessments.
- Prepare and submit regulatory permits, reports, and documentation as necessary for project compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to maintain positive relationships and ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental project management, with a strong focus on biology-related projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex environmental projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of local and federal environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the Reno area's unique ecosystems and biological diversity is highly desirable.
