The Senior Estimator's primary role involves conducting estimates, heading the creation of EPC and bid check estimates, and overseeing bids for transmission and distribution projects.

The Senior Transmission & Distribution Estimator will be responsible for:
- Produce estimates (conceptual, feasibility, and budget authorization) for transmission and distribution projects, including both lines and stations.
- Lead the execution of estimating strategies.
- Analyze RFPs and engineering documents to identify scope discrepancies and overlaps.
- Review and endorse project summary schedules for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with estimating methodologies to produce high-quality estimates.
- Lead project team reviews for accurate quantity estimations and project scope.
- Review and incorporate quotes on bonds and insurance.
- Lead subcontractor pre-qualification, solicitation, and bid reviews.
- Review and incorporate pricing for specialty and standard equipment and materials.
- Estimate general conditions and indirect costs, coordinating with the project management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 7 years of experience in estimating or working with transmission and distribution EPC or construction contractors, with 4 years specifically in estimating roles.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in developing estimates and bidding for T&D construction work.
- Familiarity with factors affecting work productivity and adeptness in incorporating them into cost estimates.
- Ability to work independently or in groups, think critically, and make prompt and informed decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.
- May be required to obtain an OSHA 10 hour safety certification
