We are partnered with a leading multi-disciplinary firm who are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for the branch in Houston. This position will have a big focus on TxDOT projects with the right candidate being tasked to review reports as well as leading the growth in the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design for TXDOT projects.
- Oversee and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with TXDOT officials and key stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the geotechnical engineering sector.
- Prepare proposals, technical reports, and presentations.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and TXDOT regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas required.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on transportation projects.
- Proven track record of successful project management and business development.
- In-depth knowledge of TXDOT standards, procedures, and project delivery methods.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
