A global architecture firm is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect with a strong background in hospitality design to join their team. As a Senior Project Architect, you will be responsible for managing and leading the design and delivery of hospitality projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of design concepts and strategies for hospitality projects
- Manage the project team to ensure that all project goals and objectives are met
- Attend meetings with project teams and clients as necessary, with a demonstrated skill in coordination with the consultant and internal team.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop project schedules and budgets and manage project resources accordingly
- Lead the preparation of architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards
- Review and approve shop drawings, product samples, and other project submittals
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with construction personnel to ensure that the project is being built according to the design intent
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff members
- Participate in business development activities and foster client relationships
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in hospitality design, with a focus on luxury and boutique hotels
- Strong design skills and a thorough understanding of architectural design principles and practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Revit
- Experience with project management and contract administration
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior managerial experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Licensure and Certification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Licensed Architect in California
- LEED accreditation is a plus
