Salary Range - $124,800 - $162,240 based on experience and licensure.

Job Duties:
- Serve as lead hydraulic/drainage engineer for roadway/transportation projects for IDOT, Tollway, or Local Agency (Municipality, Divisions of Transportation) projects, either locally funded or state/federally-funded
- Provide guidance, leadership and training to design team (design engineer, interns, co-op students)
- Communicate with clients, contractors and staff on various roadway design projects
- Coordinate with stakeholders
- Prepare drainage/hydraulic calculations associated with transportation improvement projects including multi-mile corridor widenings, spot improvements (intersections, et. al), and bridges over waterways.
- Oversight of team preparation of hydraulic calculations and reports associated with Location Drainage Study(ies) including detention, compensatory storage, storm sewers, swales/ditches, flow rates (rivers/creeks), etc.
- Prepare contract specifications and front-end bid documentation
- Participate in design/client meetings
- Participate in resolution of design, field, and scheduling issues
- Limited travel required (client meetings, occasional training, etc.) - mileage reimbursement per State of Illinois policy
- Participate in assignments for Proposal/Statements of Interest for prospective projects as part of a group effort
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- Fully Eligible to Work in U.S. (will not sponsor Visas)
- 10+ years professional engineering experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (with experience over 10 years)
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent written and oral communications
- Excellent organizational and management skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bentley GeoPAK or Microstation InRoads experience desired
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- HEC-RAS, HEC-2, HY-8, XPSWMM, HydroCAD, StormCAD experience required
