Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of county school construction projects from conception to completion. You will lead a dedicated team, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in county school construction will be instrumental in navigating regulatory requirements, managing stakeholders, and fostering collaboration among project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage county school construction projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met and objectives are achieved.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, and regularly report on project status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the procurement process, including bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and vendor selection.
- Monitor and mitigate project risks, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and innovation on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on county school construction projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of county school construction regulations, codes, and standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Project).
