A global Architecture + Design firm is seeking an Senior Project Architect to work on a data center/mission critical projects. The hired candidate will have the opportunity to impact and act as a leader within all project phases and will be considered an integral part of the firm's growing Mission Critical studio answering directly to National Leadership. This role may be worked in a fully remote capacity, however locations of interest for in-office candidates would include Chicago (IL), Austin (TX), Seattle (WA), and Phoenix (AZ)
The Architect will be responsible for:
- Work with discipline leads, Sr. Project Managers, and design team to achieve client goals
- Supervise teams of varying sizes in coordination and production of projects with all internal and external team members
- Assist in mentoring junior staff
- Act as the lead contact and resource for clients on all project issues
- Manage the financial and contractual obligations of projects, meeting budgets, scheduling requirements, and program objectives while satisfying client goals
- Ensure clear team communication and be an advocate for design excellence
The Project Architect should have the following qualifications and abilities:
- Licensure and NCARB preferred
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture, or closely related field
- Must possess design, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Business development experience in the Mission Critical market is a plus
- Have a sense of ownership and accountability
- Design program proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Bluebeam also favored)
- Adobe: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Experience working efficiently in a remote setting is also a plus
