Job Title: Heavy Civil Superintendent - Deep Wet Utility Projects
Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to oversee and manage deep wet utility projects for our company. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of all aspects of heavy civil construction and should be able to manage all phases of the construction process, from planning to execution. The primary focus of this role will be on deep wet utility projects, including water and sewer infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Ensure that all construction work is carried out in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders
- Manage subcontractors and ensure that they are meeting project requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Manage project budgets and ensure that all work is completed within budget constraints
- Manage project documentation and ensure that all necessary records are kept up to date
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on deep wet utility projects
- Proven track record of managing large construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Experience working with municipal agencies, including permit processes and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
