Responsibilities:
- Survey Planning and Execution:
- Plan and execute land surveys for transportation projects, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
- Conduct field surveys using state-of-the-art survey equipment, such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
- Boundary and Topographic Surveys:
- Perform boundary surveys to establish property lines and resolve boundary disputes.
- Conduct topographic surveys to gather data on the natural and man-made features of a project site.
- Construction Staking:
- Provide construction staking services to guide the placement of infrastructure elements during construction.
- Work closely with project engineers to ensure accurate implementation of design plans in the field.
- Data Analysis and Mapping:
- Analyze survey data and prepare detailed maps, plats, and reports for use in engineering design.
- Utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) software for mapping and spatial analysis.
- Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
- Review and verify survey data collected by field crews.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of Minnesota.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in land surveying, with a focus on transportation projects.
- Proficient in the use of survey equipment and software, including total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
