Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)

The Opportunity

A growing environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to support and lead site investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance projects throughout Tennessee. This role is ideal for an experienced environmental professional who enjoys providing technical leadership, mentoring staff, managing client relationships, and driving successful project delivery across a diverse portfolio of government and private-sector projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage environmental site investigation and remediation projects from proposal through completion.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for projects involving soil, groundwater, and environmental assessment activities.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, project coordinators, and technical professionals.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Conduct occasional field visits, site assessments, and project oversight activities.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies, clients, and project stakeholders.
  • Review technical reports, investigation findings, remediation plans, and regulatory submittals.
  • Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for project growth.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credential preferred.
  • Strong background in environmental site investigation and remediation.
  • Experience managing environmental projects and project teams, or a demonstrated desire to move into a project leadership role.
  • Working knowledge of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) regulations and programs.
  • Experience supporting government-sector environmental projects.
  • Environmental compliance experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and client management skills.
