A rapidly growing environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior / Managing Consultant to join its Site Investigation & Remediation team. This is an opportunity for an experienced environmental professional to lead complex remediation projects, advise clients on environmental liabilities and risk management strategies, and play a key role in the continued growth of a national consulting practice.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical remediation expertise, project management capabilities, and client relationship skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead environmental investigation and remediation projects from scoping through regulatory closure
- Develop and implement strategies for site characterization, risk evaluation, and corrective actions
- Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client expectations
- Evaluate environmental liabilities and provide strategic recommendations to clients
- Assess remediation alternatives and support decision-making for complex sites
- Provide expertise related to soil, groundwater, vapor intrusion, sediment, and emerging contaminants
- Prepare and review technical reports, work plans, proposals, and regulatory submittals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes
- Mentor junior consultants and provide technical leadership across project teams
- Support business development efforts and cultivate long-term client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of environmental consulting experience
- Strong background in site investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing projects under state and federal remediation programs
- Knowledge of remediation technologies including in-situ treatment, bioremediation, monitored natural attenuation, and related approaches
- Experience with vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation preferred
- Strong project management and client-facing experience
- Professional registration (PE, PG, or similar) preferred
- Current 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
